BP Waffle House EV charging partnership aims to expand fast-charging infrastructure across the southern United States. BP Pulse, the EV division of BP, will install ultra-fast 400kW EV chargers at Waffle House restaurants starting in 2026.

Fast Chargers at Southern US Restaurants

Each Waffle House location will be equipped with six 400kW chargers. While the number of participating sites remains undisclosed, this move aligns with BP Pulse’s broader U.S. expansion. BP already manages EV chargers at over 8,000 locations through deals with companies like Hertz.

This partnership targets underserved EV corridors in the South. Waffle House restaurants operate 24/7 along highways and major routes, making them ideal for supporting long-distance EV travel.

The Metalnomist Commentary

The BP Waffle House EV charging partnership reflects a strategic fusion of infrastructure and hospitality. As EV demand grows, accessible charging stations at familiar roadside locations will shape the next phase of transportation electrification in America.
