29Metals, an established Australian mining company, has officially announced its decision to proceed with the Gossan Valley project within its Golden Grove copper mine located in Western Australia. This decision comes as part of the company's strategic expansion to capitalize on the growing demand for copper and zinc.

Project Details and Production Capacity

The Gossan Valley project is set to bolster 29Metals' production significantly, with an anticipated output of 4,000 tonnes of copper and 20,000 tonnes of zinc annually over an initial seven-year mine life. This expansion is supported by a comprehensive 2024 feasibility study, which also suggests a substantial mining rate of 392,000 tonnes per year.

Potential for Resource Expansion

Beyond its initial projections, the Gossan Valley project offers promising potential for further resource expansion, as the mineral resources remain open at depth. This marks the project as the third significant initiative at the Golden Grove mine, indicating a robust future for 29Metals in regional and global metal markets.
